“Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.” –Anaïs Nin
FROM THE ARCHIVES | At 12:04 AM, my oldest friend, Katy (and my first muse) became a mother. In high school we would make up photo shoots for fun. She was the model/stylist. Me, the photographer. We’d pore over Harper’s Bazaar –in the good ole days of Liz Tilberis and Fabien Baron – for inspiration. Today, this is how we make a living in NYC and LA.
Here’s a few images from the archives that span over a decade – from Tennessee to Africa to Italy to NYC and one of my favorites, California circa 1998. We watched the sun set in honor of her father, Kent Robbins.
Cheers to old worlds, new worlds and the birth of a baby Welcome to the world, Stella Kent!
